...There
is a God who loves you!
Think about that!
God knows you by name. He knows everything there is to know
about you—all the good and all
the bad. He knows things about you that you don't even know
about yourself!
And you know what?
He
loves you anyway!
|
|
|
He loves you so much that He was willing to die
for you!
Like we said, He knows everything about you, including all
the bad things you've ever done. Those things are called SIN.
And
He said that the punishment for sin is DEATH.
But you don't have to die for your sins, because He already
did.
That's how much He loves you.
|
And now, He has 3 gifts He wants to give you: |
| |
1. A clean heart
Because Jesus (who was God) died for your sins, He can give
you a brand new clean heart. He can take away all the sin and
darkness and replace it with His pure, clean love. All you
have to do is ask Him!
|
|
|
2. The adventure of a lifetime—serving Him!
Once you belong to Him, your life will never
be the same. You will think differently, act differently, and
live differently. Your life will be the best adventure of all,
because nothing can take away His love for you and His promise
that He will never leave you alone.
|
|
| |
3. Life with Him forever (in heaven)
Some day, unless He comes back before then,
your body will die. (That is because we still live in a fallen
world.) But He has promised that you don't have to be afraid
of that, because He will come and take you home to be with
him forever—in heaven!
And there is no place you could ever hope or
want to be more than heaven.
|
|
|
So, how do you get these gifts?
All you have to do is pray—that means talk
to God.
Tell Him that you know you're a sinner
and you don't deserve His love. Let him know you're sorry about
your sin, and that you want to live His new life.
Invite Him into your heart to live. The Bible
says that we must "receive Him," and that is what you are doing
when you invite Him into your heart.
Thank Him for forgiving your sins (because
He did it, the very minute you asked Him to!). Thank Him for
giving you a new life in Jesus. Ask Him to help you live your
new life for Him and His kingdom.
|
Then, let somebody know!
Don't keep the good news to yourself! Tell
someone—your mom & dad, your pastor, your friends—heavens!
Tell everyone you know! You've just received the most precious
gift you could ever get: Eternal life in Jesus Christ!
And if we have had anything to do with this
terrific thing in your life, won't you please write and tell
us? (Or have your mom or dad or sister or brother or someone
write to us for you!) We would love to hear your story and
to send you some things to help you along the way, as you begin
to walk your life with Jesus.
